“It is a joy to be hidden, and a disaster not to be found” - D.W. Winnicott

About me

I am a licensed therapist who is motivated by a passion for people and the firm belief that each person has the power to heal and change in the ways they desire.

Many of us face difficulties in life that cause us to seek help from others. I believe that psychotherapy can facilitate gaining a better understanding of yourself, enabling you to build resilience and a stronger sense of self. Those who engage in therapy often find that as a result they are able to live more open, genuine, and fulfilling lives.

I offer an in-depth form of talk therapy that focuses on reducing symptoms and understanding the underlying causes of those symptoms. Using a psychoanalytic and psychodynamic framework, my approach to therapy will allow you the space necessary to understand and heal from the symptoms or struggles that brought you in.

Education and Training

I received my Master’s Degree and graduate training from Adelphi University in New York. My training has been generalist, meaning that I worked with a wide range of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I have specialized training in treating depression and anxiety, but also enjoy working with people who struggle in relationships, or who struggle to understand themselves and others.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree and undergraduate training from Salisbury University in Maryland. During my time in Maryland, I gained experience working with people who were significantly impacted by environmental and societal factors. Throughout my undergraduate training, I gained a deeper appreciation for how sociopolitical factors influence and contribute to symptomatology.

Throughout my career, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the complexities of the human mind, which is why I continue to broaden my scope of knowledge and expertise through ongoing post-graduate education. I am currently receiving additional education at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, and am a member of the International Psychotherapy Institute.
